TrapperDick

I started tent camping as a young boy, maybe 8 or 10 years old. As I got older and got my drivers license I thought those truck campers were pretty cool.

My first truck camper consist of a camper shell called a "Maine Camper" on the rear of a 1969 Chev 2500 with an 8 ft bed.. It was nothing more than a rather high truck cap with a camper door on the rear. I built a couple of bunks on the sides. It turned out to be a pretty good rig for camping as long as you don't mind cooking outside, and carrying a small shovel for the other necessities.

As time went by I graduated to a 1987 GMC S-15 with a small Coachman Camper on the back....that was the real thing !! Everything but a bathroom....

In 1990 I bought a 1/2 ton Chevy Pick-Up and yup, you guessed it, along came a brand new 9 1/2" Coachman Ranger.....I kept that one until 1999 when I traded the pick-up for a 99 GMC 2500, and the camper for a 21 ft Sunline TT. Yes I jumped the fence.
But I'm back now with my 2006 Chev 2500 and the 2007 Lance 9SC.

Somehow I got hooked up with this guy named Mike Tassinari, went to one of his rally's, and the rest is history. Since then I've met the nicest bunch of people a man could ever meet...

What's next ?? Who knows,,,,retirement??, maybe.....sure hope so.
