Season One

Hello Everyone…
 
As we enter our sophomore year, we continue to grow. 2007 brought in 22 Rigs to the Spring Jamboree at North Andover VT. and 27 Rigs to the Fall Jamboree at North Conway, NH.
  
In spite of record Gas ($3.75) and Diesel ($4.60) fuel prices, 2008 brought in 31 Rigs to the Spring Jamboree in Andover VT. Along with Jamborees scheduled in North Hudson, NY and Salem  MA, 2008 is shaping up to be a banner year!
  
We saw attendees came from as far west as Illinois and Ontario Canada. Our southern attendees reached down to NJ and PA We cannot forget our Long Island NY members and the rest of the New England contingent.
  
Anne and Joe Brown took over the Wagon Master duties for the Andover VT Jamboree and what a job they did.

They got volunteers to host the following seminars:

1. How to cast a Fishing Rod for Fly Fishing. Thanks Dave
   
   
2. Anne found time during her busy schedule to talk on using the DeLorme Map Software.
   
   
3. A safety check of the T/C Propane Compartment using soap and water through a spray bottle and a gift of a brand new 9v Battery for your Smoke Alarm.
   
   
4. The Refrigerator  Seminar showed you where those spider mites like to hang out while your T/C is in storage, and how to clean the propane section.  A simple part list to carry was discussed.
   
   
5. How to Re/Caulk your Rig.
   
   
6. The scavenger hunt of equipment to carry in your T/C. Points were given for each item you had, and the winner had 47.5 points.

How can I not forget to mention the Friday Night Hot Dog Roast over the open wood fire pit, the Saturday Night Pot Luck Supper and the Sunday morning anything goes breakfast. The Ladies got to sit and enjoy the breakfast and the Guys did the setting up/cooking/and cleaning afterwards.
